A loving life is what we all want. But loving people is hard. This 17-lesson seeJesus interactive Bible study will help you discover Ruth’s amazing biblical portrait of love with a small group or Sunday School class. Here is the help we all need to embrace relationship, endure rejection, cultivate community, and reach out to even the most unlovableas we discover the power to live a loving life.

Paul spent his childhood in California and Oregon, moving east when his father, Dr. Jack Miller, began teaching at Westminster Seminary. After graduating from college, Paul taught in inner-city Christian schools in Philadelphia for ten years. With a group of parents, he started Spruce Hill Christian School (K-8), an inner city, multi-racial school where he was principal and teacher.

In 1983, he helped his father found World Harvest Mission, serving as Associate Director from 1983 until1996. From 1997-1999, he completed a M.Div.at Biblical Seminary and founded seeJesus, a mission thathelps Christians and non-Christians alike “see Jesus” through inductive Bible studies.

Duringhis time at World Harvest, Paul wrote several discipling courses, including a course on grace calledSonship. In the early '90s, Paul wrote The Love Course, an in-depth theology of love focused on theperson of Jesus. In 2001, Paul wrote Love WalkedAmong Us (NavPress), weaving stories of how Jesusloves together with stories of his own struggles to love. The book is based on The Person of Jesus study, an in-depth, inductive Bible study of what Jesus is like as a person. Both the book and the study are written to include non-Christians who haveno background in Christianity.

In 2005, Paul’s A Praying Life study (an eleven-week course onprayer for “badly praying Christians”) was released. In 2009, Paul wrote A Praying Life (NavPress),in which the principles in the study are combinedwith Paul's own stories of learning to live through prayer. In 2011, Paul wrote another inductive study called Ruth: Love Redefined.
